Code of Conduct
At Mira, we create and manufacture leading-edge products that provide exceptional value to our customers. We compete in an incredibly tough marketplace and we compete with integrity, fairness, and honesty. We believe this is the right way to do business at Mira and we will not ask less of ourselves or of others. The following Mira Code of Conduct is a guideline that leads us in our endeavor to maintain our high ethical standards.
Mira Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct applies to all of Mira’s employees. Consultants and other representatives working with Mira are also expected to comply with the Code in connection with their work for Mira.
Compliance with Laws: Mira will operate in compliance with the laws, rules and regulations of the places in which we do business.
Discrimination: Mira is committed to a workforce free of harassment, and unlawful discrimination of any kind, including discrimination based on race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, pregnancy, religion, political affiliation, union membership, or marital status, is prohibited.
Fair Competition – Antitrust: When conducting business, Mira personnel will deal fairly and will not take unfair advantage of others by manipulation, concealment, or misrepresentation of material facts. Mira personnel will comply with all laws and regulations concerning antitrust and unfair dealing.
Privacy and Freedom of Expression: Mira honors the privacy rights of others and is committed to compliance with legal protection of those rights. Mira also supports the right to freedom of opinion and expression as outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Use of Labor: Child and forced labor is not permitted at any Mira operation. Mira will not subject its employees to harsh treatment, including sexual harassment, sexual abuse, corporal punishment, or mental or physical coercion.
Accuracy of Business Records and Records Retention: Mira records and accounts must accurately represent the related transactions; and all assets and liabilities must be recorded. Compliance with Mira policies on retention of records is required.
Integrity: Anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws and regulations will be adhered to; and Mira personnel will conduct all aspects of Mira’s business with integrity.
Confidentiality: Those entrusted with Mira confidential knowledge and company trade secrets will maintain that information in confidence.
Proper Use of Company Assets: Personnel will protect Mira’s assets and ensure their efficient use. Mira’s property may not be used to carry out illegal acts. Incidental personal use by employees is acceptable.
Safety: Mira will provide its personnel with a safe and healthy working environment. Compliance with applicable occupational health and safety laws will be maintained.
Environment: Mira personnel will comply with all laws and regulations regarding the restriction of hazardous materials. Mira will also endeavor to prevent any adverse effects on the community, environment, and natural resources caused by Mira operations.
Retaliation for Reporting: No retaliation may be taken against any company personnel who report a violation of this Code of Conduct.
